Buckinghamshire's first WI formed in 1917 in Ivinghoe. Since that time many villages have had WIs at some stage or another. Nowadays, the WI movement is enjoying a renaissance with many younger people joining and discovering the fun of meeting people of all ages and backgrounds and learning new skills.
