Walk 100 miles for 100 years

BFWI invite you to walk "100 miles for 100 years" in and around Buckinghamshire during the course of 2020. To help you we have located over 25 appealing walks (often circular to avoid transport problems) all over the county with an average length of about 5 miles. You could choose to do the same walk 20 times, do a selection of those most accessible to you, or try to ‘collect the set’ and tour the county over the course of the year.

Buckinghamshire WIs Village Book
The Bucks Federation Village Book is now in the publication process! Federation Chairman, Pat Poole, says "Around EIGHTY WIs have now submitted entries and we are very much looking forward to its launch at our Annual Council Meeting next May. Three other Federations have had a book about their villages compiled; the books resemble the quality of the Fodor travel books."
Make a 2020 Pennant

Some of the most amazing needlework has gone into our 2020 pennants - these are just a few . If yours hasn’t quite begun yet you can find out the “how to” here! Centenary Pennants will travel across the county in 2020, all joined together, and will first be displayed at the Annual Council Meeting in May 2020. We'd like to receive your entries by 31st March 2020 please. We have posted an album of those already received on our Facebook Photos page if you seek inspiration.
Make a 2020 Sampler
To commemorate the 90th Anniversary of Bucks Federation many WIs created a unique sampler which fit into an A4 sleeve. If you didn’t make one at the time, or if you are from a new WI, why not consider making one now?
