NFWI - Latest News on 2020/2021 Membership Subscriptions
The NFWI has been very concerned about the disruption this lockdown period has had on WI meetings and activities and your membership experience this year. We recently held consultations with all federations to discuss ways in which we can acknowledge this in our membership subscription this year.
We are delighted to share with you that as a result, we are offering a three-month extension to this year’s membership subscription. The next renewal date for membership subscriptions will, therefore, be 1st April 2021. In addition, from this point onwards, membership renewals will always be in April. This is to acknowledge the feedback many of you shared with us during the recent Strategic Vision consultation about the challenges of the January payment date and how you wished to see this changed in the future.
We hope the additional three months will provide some compensation to acknowledge the disruption many of you will have experienced this year.
Please see below some FAQs to explain a bit more about the process and how this will impact WIs. Please note we will be adding to these FAQs over time, as new questions arise.

Training Opportunities
We provide training each year for Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers and any one who thinks they might be able to take on these vital WI roles. This supplements the courses available on MyWI and WITraining.
Watch out for publicity in the newsletter and on this website.
Think about who will succeed your current officers and try and encourage members to come along and see whether they could take on one of these roles.
Remember without the three officers the WI can't exist!

Useful documentsThere are some useful guides available from NFWI but to make it easy for you the WI Constitution, the WI Guide and the Membership Computer System (MCS2) are available as downloadable documents on this website.
You can also download from there the BFWI Guide to WI Terms & Initials and a Publicity poster - plus a whole lot of other materials which you can customise for your own use. Could you be a WI Adviser? Would you like to learn more about the WI?
Are you interested in helping members within Buckinghamshire? If so, please think about becoming a WI Adviser! For further information, please contact Stuart Lodge who can put you in contact with one of our existing WI Advisers for an informal chat Email: hq@bucksfwi.org.uk |
